Revelation - Vision Of The Risen Christ - Darren Larson

Date 2016-10-09

This Sunday we are jumping into Revelation 1 with a vision of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. One of the most incredible pictures of the person and work of the risen Jesus Christ shows up in Revelation 1. It’s the image of Jesus walking among the seven golden lampstands. These lampstands represent the churches that Revelation was written to, and ultimately represent the Church of Jesus Christ as a whole. Think about this: Christ is standing among the churches. He is not merely over the churches. He is not distant from the churches. He is in the middle of them. Revelation 1:12–13: “I saw seven golden lampstands; and in the middle of the lamp stands one like a son of man.” Just to make this personal, your church, Imprint Church, is one of those lampstands! When we gather each and every week, Jesus is among us. Doesn’t that change the way you view the church gathering? Join us on Sunday morning at 9:00 or 10:45 AM as we talk about the implications of this.
